Preben's LGBTQ Fund
Welcome to Preben's LGBTQ fund. This is a small fund that I have created that I set money into for the purposes of donating to charity eventually.
There are three main sources of income for the fund: My yearly councillor allowance, monthly donations, and the sale of knitwear. Per 2025, town councillors receive a £156 allowance per year. Llanfairfechan Town Council has decided to pay this out to all councillors at the start of year and leave each councillor to decide how to spend it. I donate it to this fund with the aim that it'll go to local charities that helps local LGBTQ people. I also donate £15/month.
As of 22 April 2025, the combined value of the fund is £216.55.
Overview
The fund is split in two with a main account and a separate one for the knitting (jokingly called Llanfairfechan Knitting Corp). The reason for that is that some earnings from the knitting might be re-invested to produce more knitwear. Hence, funds are transferred from the knitting account to the fund on an ad-hoc basis, but ensuring that there are left-overs that can be used to generate further income.
